Children are naturally curious and need little encouragement to explore and investigate their environment. Science in our infant School harnesses this natural interest to help children to have a deeper understanding and knowledge of the everyday world around them.
Giving children the opportunity to meet a wide range of relevant first-hand scientific experiences can help to develop an enquiring mind as well as develop their skills of observing, questioning, collecting, classifying, predicting, hypothesising, interpreting and recording. Children will be encouraged to use these skills to explore scientific concepts and attitudes.
