Wraparound Care at Holmwood School
Holiday Clubs
We have an external provider who runs Holiday Club from Holmwood. They are Ofsted registered for ages 3+ and provide a wide range of activities over the day. There details can be found here.
BREAKFAST CLUB
Our Breakfast Club opens at 7:30 am. On arrival, children are offered a nutritious breakfast, with a choice of cereals, toast, yoghurts, fruit, and fruit juices or milk. After breakfast, they can read, draw, colour, play board games, or chat with friends until the start of the school day.
We are proud to be a government-funded Early Adopter school for the Breakfast Club Scheme. This means that the final 30 minutes of the club are free of charge for all statutory school-age children. We have adjusted the pricing for the 7:30 am and 7:45 am start times to reflect this free period.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting working parents, Holmwood School is pleased to offer an After School Club for children from both Ashbrook and Holmwood, held in our school nursery building.
Children attending the club enjoy a healthy snack freshly prepared by our After School Club team. We are attentive to each child’s individual needs and cater for all cultural and dietary requirements.
We believe that play is a vital part of every child’s development. Our club provides opportunities for children from both schools, within the infant age range, to socialise and play together.
Our staff create a child-led environment where children can choose their own activities, all under close supervision. They are encouraged to share their ideas for new activities through our suggestion box, which contributes to the activity planner displayed in the hall.
The nursery building offers a secure and engaging space for the club, with direct access to outdoor areas. Children can enjoy the mud kitchen, build obstacle courses, or play in the sandpit.
All staff members are DBS checked, and a qualified first-aid practitioner is always on duty.
We offer two session options: half sessions from 3:10 pm to 4:45 pm, and full sessions from 3:10 pm to 6:00 pm.
BOOKING PROCEDURE
Please ensure you complete a registration form for your child and keep us informed of any changes to your contact details. This will enable us to contact you immediately in case of emergency.
Please book your sessions on MCAS (My Child At School) at least 1 day before you need them to attend. If you require a place in an emergency, please contact the school office.
