- Spend and Raise - This is a scheme whereby well known retailers pay the school a commission because the school advertises them on the website. For example if you normally shop online at Amazon.co.uk, instead of logging onto the Amazon website you click on buy.at/holmwood. This takes you to the buy.at home page, you then click on the Amazon logo, this re-directs you to the normal Amazon web page. You then shop and pay for your goods as normal. There are no extra charges involved and you will earn the school anything between 4% and 10% of the total value of the order. This money is then forwarded to the school.

Phonics Screening Check
We are a “Get Reading. Keep Reading. Change Everything.” school.
We use the highly successful Read Write Inc. Phonics programme to teach our children to read, write and spell. Our children do well in the phonics screening check and by Year 2, the majority are fluent readers with the best chance of success in the KS1 tests.
Ruth Miskin Training recognise us for teaching the programme with fidelity and passion – we know what it takes to make reading and writing pleasurable and rewarding for our children.
